Thorsten Eisenhofer ist Tenure-Track-Faculty am CISPA Helmholtz-Zentrum für Informationssicherheit in Saarbrücken. Zuvor war er Postdoktorand bei BIFOLD und an der TU Berlin. Er promovierte an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum, wo er dem Exzellenzcluster CASA angehörte. In seiner Forschung konzentriert er sich auf maschinelles Lernen und Computersicherheit, insbesondere auf Angriffe auf lernbasierte Modelle und Abwehrmaßnahmen zur Verbesserung ihrer Robustheit. Dabei blickt er häufig über das Modell selbst hinaus und untersucht die gesamte Rechenpipeline, einschließlich der zugrunde liegenden Hardware und des Software-Stacks.
